By David Crane David (b) (dot) com September 2, 2020 (DR) Had so much fun at the Full Conceal booth last year at SHOT Show 2019, we had to stop by SHOT Show 2020 to see what they came up with this year The latter - and we were not disappointed. Full Conceal Founder / CEO Mike Full showed us the new Full Conceal M3D-S6, which is essentially a low-cost, high-capacity 9mm home-built Glock 19 (G19) folding combat / tactical pistol Significantly more than Full Conceal. M3D, which DR covered last year. We're talking $599.00 USD MSRP compared to the M3D's $999.00 USD. The reason for the price difference is that the M3D pistol starts out as a factory G19, so the relatively high base cost of the pistol has to be built into the price of the M3D. The M3D-S6 folding pistol is a 9mm folding pistol with an illuminated slide, and the one DR showed at SHOT had a 21- or 22-round mag. Really 21+1, or 22+1, but we will look into it, and update this article accordingly. In the meantime, we hope you enjoy the video below. USA – -()- When the first news of the full folding pistol was released, I was skeptical. The maker promised a weapon that offered more concealability, more firepower and more safety than we expected in modern carry options. My questions were many. Why add another step to the lottery ?How safe is it? Can 21+1 rounds of 9mm be concealed really easily?
Let's get to the point. Before we look at the "how and why" let's look at, "does it really work?". I came to the range with a wide variety of magazines and some hollow points. I wanted to know that folding the rifle would properly tune the rifle to feed TorkMag, ETS, Jagemann, ProMag, Korean magazines and more.
Perhaps, more importantly, I wanted to know if the reliability of the Glock was reduced by folding the gun. Will it feed several hollow points? Finally, I tested the practicality of pulling a folded pistol from a pocket, mounting and firing. Watch the range review video below.
